Condolences
I find it so hard to comprehend, losing a life long friend. We grew up down the street from each other. I remember he had a really scary dog named spot that got loose now and then. Kids would run and scream SPOT is loose and we'd climb on top of anything we could. David fixed my cars over the phone for decades and saved me thousands of dollars in repairs. He was click & clack before they existed. I don't know what I'll do without him. I ALWAYS called him for advice. We also had a lot to talk about when it came to politics. He was very smart and very well informed. A common sense kind of guy. What I loved most was the two of them together. Dave and Pam are everything everyone would hope for in a couple. They just fit! I am thinking of his family and all of his many friends and that place no one else could possibly fill. He was a really great guy.
Vaseloff Family - I had the pleasure of getting to know Dave through my father Gary Hill at Don Sisk, and through Joe and Linda Stillings. Dave is/was a one of a kind man who will be dearly missed by everyone who had the joys of having him in their lives. My family will continue to keep all of you in our prayers as you go through your loss. God Bless and be with each and everyone of you!
Our hearts go out to you, Dave is a wonderful father and husband so try to find comfort in knowing the memories that you have shared are priceless and heartwarming and that nothing or nobody can ever take those away from you. Please accept our condolences and know that the Eggert family is praying and thinking of all of you during this difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help comfort your hearts. We love all of you, Donna, Kris, Kristopher and Kevin
Tammy and I are very sorry for Dave's passing. He was a good friend and we always shared stories about our racing adventures. If there is anything we can do please let us know. God bless you, Davey and the girls. Brian & Tammy Shockley
Sorry to hear about David's passing. I enjoyed knowing him and living next to you on 950 E. I lived in the brick ranch to the north and I had the old tractor that I restored. David was always quick to lend me a hand on my tractor restoration or to lend me tools. I enjoyed picking on him out at Greg Frazee's. He was a special guy and I will miss him. God Bless. Mike & Pat Reynolds.
We are going to miss you Dave, as you are the best neighbor that anyone can have. We will miss you honking your horn as you drive by and seeing your smiling face. Thanks for being a good friend.
WE PRAY FOR THE REPOSE OF YOUR SOIL, REST IN PEACE
I was a childhood buddy of David’s, beginning in first grade at school 75. We graduated from school 90 together in December of 1957 and as mid term freshman we began Washington High together in January. I want to write to say how sorry I am to hear of Dave’s passing. In my recollection of those days growing up on the West Side I have always remembered the great times of hanging around together with Dave and Bob Van Deman. In so many ways I enjoyed them both as two of my best friends. They seemed to understand combustible engines better than I did and they could always go faster than I could and I always hoped to learn something from them. Rest in peace, Dave, and to your great family – Pam and all the others - may I say God Bless. Jim Myers, Dallas, TX
Angie & Family: We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We know Dave was an awesome husband, dad and grandpa who will be deeply missed. We wish we could be with you right now. Please know we will pray for you all and be here if you need us. Love & Blessings; Michelle, John & Zac
Dearest Aunt Pam: I cannot tell you how shocked we are at Uncle David's quick passing. I know it is probably better for him as he is not in any pain now, but hard on us still left here. He was such a big influence on me..........especially after my own parents' divorce. He helped me get my first and second cars, and was always available for mechanical advice or some repair work (I had a few fender bender accidents in my teens)and always good for some laughs. Even Friday in the hospital, he asked me "how is Ceh-woe?"----the way he always said my name. Just wanted you to know he will be missed so much and what wonderful influence and memories I have of him and spending the night at your house with my cousins. All our love and prayers now and always, Caroline, Bill, Eric and Lauren Metzger
Gina and Angie: I just wanted to tell you that I am so sorry for your loss. Just know God is with you and your father right now. Make sure to lean on your friends when you need them for support. They are all here for you. God Bless your family.
Dear Pam, Gina, David & Angie, I was so sorry to hear of Dave's death. I remember you all fondly. Pam, I learned how to be a wife from my mother, but I learned how to be a couple by watching you and Dave. You and Dave seem to never get so caught up in the day to day things that you lost sight of each other. I didn't find that in my first marriage, so I divorced and found someone that I have that wonderful kind of love/friendship with. I found the formula to be my own dark hair, dark eyed Ford mechanic. (We've been married 31 years, he's no longer a mechanic, but still a good catch.) Again, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Karen Scott Kennedy
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each and everyone of you during this most difficult time. Your husband, father, grandfather and friend will be missed tremendously, but will be welcomed into heaven with open, loving arms. May God be with you! My condolences... Julie
Pam, Gina, David, and Angie: My heart felt sympathy goes out to all of you. He was such a kind and gentle soul. He will be missed by all! May all of you find peace during this difficult time. If you need anything please call me and I will be there! Love and prayers, Kris Lang
