Obituary of Anthony Gaines
Anthony Gaines was born to Mary L. (Washington) Gaines-Keys and Adie Gaines Sr. on May 26, 1958. He professed Christianity at an early age under the advisement of Rev. George Washington, Sr. his grandfather at Peter Rock Baptist Church. Anthony graduated from John Marshall High School in 1976. He also attended and graduated from Clark College. Anthony retired from Amtrack as a Journey Man Welder. Anthony married Kimberly R. Kirkland, October 15, 1983. No children were born in this union. He leaves to mourn mother; Mary Keys; wife Kimberly R. Kirkland of Decatur, IL; his two brothers Adie (Venus) Gaines and Jonathan Keys; and a sister Tammy M. Gaines all of Indianapolis, IN; uncle, Webster Gaines; two aunts, Evenell Harris and Ruth Prince all of Indianapolis, IN as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
