Obituary of Everett M. Shoemaker
Everett Monroe Shoemaker, 62, of Indianapolis passed away on March 7, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis to Clark Jay and Charlotte M. Shoemaker on October 30, 1961. Everett was the grounds manager of Avalon Lake Apartments for 25 years, where he retired from in November of 2023. He was a member of a bowling league. He was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Cubs; he was also a big race car fan. Everett spent some of his free time fishing, he always had a hand-held Yahtzee game. He enjoyed listening to country music and Budweiser. He was known for always having a smile on his face and joking around. A found memory of Everett was him always having a beer, chewing tobacco and watching a football game. Everett was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 nephews. He is survived by his wife, Robin Shoemaker; daughters, Ashley Shoemaker, Courtney Shoemaker, Nicole Lacefield and Amanda Hatcher; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie & Linda and family and Mike & Tyleen and family; sister, Jenny & Wilburn and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; aunts and uncles.
