Condolences
Michael was always a pleasure to work with during our time together at the Art Institute of Indianapolis. He will be fondly remembered by many.
Kathleen ~ I am so sorry for you and your son.
I didn't know your husband. All I know,is that he made you Smile, made you Laugh and showed you Unconditional Love. Hugs
Kathleen, I am heartbroken for you and your family. I never got to meet Michael in person, but when we connected on Facebook, I soon got quite an admiration of him. For one thing, I always wanted to be a librarian. Even though Michael is my Dad’s cousin, we are almost the same age, and share similar tastes in books, music, and humor (especially puns). I plan on honoring Michael by continuing to explore books and music unknown to me that he recommended.
Michael was a quiet, compassionate, caring person who was always willing to help others. Kathleen, Michael's memory will live on with you and with all those whose lives were touched by him.
I’ll miss talking music and Star Trek with him and I’ll especially miss BoooOoooooOooooing his jokes on Facebook. I know he feels 100% better now though.
I met Michael thru mutual friends, Jim Otey and Rob Petitt. We would get together to play cards and one evening I met Mike. He was very quiet but relaxed and easy to talk to. He was also very funny in a quiet sneaky way. He had me convinced that he was living in the garage at his parents house. He was not. I remember I felt sorry for him! Years later he and I would joke about that as we watched that show Young Sheldon. Sheldon's older brother ended up in the garage. I told Mike that's how I imagined it. We always got a good laugh out of that. I miss him and love him so much.
Kathleen, I always liked Mike's quiet and calm nature. You could count on him for that! He was a good listner & I think he will still be listening to you and quietly giving you guidance & wisdom from above.
Kathleen I’m so sorry for you and your Son’s loss . I have heard nothing but good about him . His memories will caring on . I’m glad I had the pleasure of working with you and helping when I could . May God be with you through this difficult time
I am sorry to have lost a brother in law like Mike. He was very brave in dealing with his health issues. He made my sister happy. Now he is at peace.
Michael was a creative person with a very kind heart. He will be especially remembered for his dedication and the love of his family
I don't recall meeting Michael but I probably did about 5 decades ago. Kathleen I am so sorry for yours and Evan's loss. My condolences for all of the Piper family including nieces and nephews. To your friends and your family as well Kathleen our prayers are with you as you grieve.
Kathleen I am so sorry for your families loss. You’re in my prayers.
Mike was truly one of a kind! I remember his dry sense of humor, his compassion and great internal customer service from our days at Target. My heart is truly broken for Kathleen and his family. Such a sweet sweet soul, I am convinced he is resting with the angels.
