Obituary of Edith Marlene Seymour
Edith M. Seymour
With great sadness we share the passing of Edith (Edie) Marlene Seymour on April 19 th , 2023. Edie was born on September 19th, 1941 in Hico, West Virginia and passed away peacefully while surrounded by family at her home in Brownsburg, Indiana. Survived by her 6 children Sheila Scarberry, Robert Waterhouse, Angela Waterhouse, Stevan Waterhouse (Nancy), and Marybeth “Beth” Jones;
grandchildren, Tyler, Tommy, Chester Lee, Ryan, Carla, Kyle, Jacob, Robert Jr., Jennifer, Kelby, Mark, Melissa, Michael, Mallory, Connor, Christopher, Jenna and Jordan; and many great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Roger Seymour, parents James and Naomi Wood, son and daughter-in-law Jack and Jean Waterhouse, and grandson Noah Scarberry.
The oldest of 10 children, Edie was a wonderful and loving being who was always there when we needed her. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Brownsburg, Indiana. She was a hard-working woman who would work as many jobs needed to make ends meet. Always generous, even if she couldn’t afford to be. She loved her family and watching football. In lieu of donations, we ask that you help someone who is in a time of need in their life. There will be a private celebration of life near Edie’s 82 nd birthday. We will celebrate her while watching her favorite football team, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and enjoying her infamous soup beans, fried potatoes, coleslaw, and cornbread. She was loved by many, and she will be deeply missed.
