Julia was a mother to all…such a confident intelligent woman—I will greatly miss her insightful advice, caring nature, and fun conversations we would have—I feel like my journey had only begun with her…she will be Greatly Missed!!

Julia was such a huge inspiration and support in my life. I will miss her at the powwows but will cherish the memories I shared with her.

I will miss her sense of humor and her dedication to the Native American Community. Rest easy Marine!

I met her in my early twenties, through my "adopted dad". And she became an "adopted mom" to me, and always introduced me to people as one of her many children. It was truly an honor and a privilege to know her. She gave me many teachings I will always cherish, and was always there when I needed someone to talk to. She will forever be in my heart. Till we meet again.

You gave so much to us all. Thank you Julia for sharing your spirit, your creativity and wisdom, and your Love. You made this world a better place. As you pass into the next world and walk that path I hope you find the peace you searched for so passionately.

Such a sweet and giving soul. It is a great loss that she has passed on. Prayers for the family.

I am honored to have known Julia as a friend and a sister. She had a kind and giving spirit to all those she met and was always willing to teach those who wanted to learn. My sincere condolences to her family. She will be deeply missed at the Pow Wows.

As Arena Director at powwows, she smudged me many times, and other times, as well. I will carry those blessings with me. I will miss her beyond words. However, part of her will be with me always.
