Betty Jean Hubner was born March 8, 1934 to Elsie and Arthur Flickinger in Indianapolis, IN and went home to Jesus on October 3, 2022 to re-unite with her parents, brother James Flickinger, sister Mary Hopkins, husband Robert D Hubner, SR, Son Michael J Hubner, sons-in-law John George and Patrick Tracy and grandson Jeffrey D Tracy.
Betty has left the remaining family members to Cherish her memories of their life with her. Daughters Kathleen E Hubner, Cynthia L Brown (Matthew), Christine M Tracy and Pamela Hubner. Sons William E Hubner and Robert D Hubner, Jr (Beth). She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and her only great-great-granddaughter (age 5 months) whom she adored.
Betty retired from the US Postal Service (main branch downtown) as Supervisor in the mailroom.
She raised her six children on her own after their father passed away. She was the neighborhood mom and grandma. She was able to maintain her home for the majority of the 46 years she lived there. She loved roaming the country on her motorcycle. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting landscapes (mostly of wintertime). Her first drawings were of her own horse, Salty. She loved her garden and could usually be found in either the garden or the garage building something with her collection of wood working tools. Her projects ranged from the patio on the side of her house to wooden Christmas decorations. She was hard to keep down, even after she fell and broke her collar bone. When C0VID hit, she came to live with her eldest daughter which is where she spent the remainder of her life with family around her. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
