Obituary of Martha May
Martha Pauline Lewis May, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 30th, in her Indianapolis home.
Funeral service and visitation will be held from 4-6pm at Chapel Rock Christian Church in the Chapel, on Friday, August 12th.
Martha was born in New Monmouth, NJ to George and Josie Lewis on July 23, 1951. She went to high school at Middletown Township HS and graduated in 1969. She went on to earn a degree in Byzantine History from Stockton State College in NJ. She worked various jobs including retail sales, bookseller, nurses aide and even a prison guard. She enjoyed reading, listening to Christian music and being with her granddaughters. She was involved in Rock Steady Boxing of Brownsburg for many years.
Martha is survived by her husband Michael, and their two children Eric (Kelley) and Cari (Derek), and two grandchildren Josephine and Isabelle. She is also survived by her sisters, JoAnn (Dwight), Susan (David), Lori (Craig), and Lilly (Nelda) and 5 nieces and 6 nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Josie and her Niece Lisa.
