When my aunt Lynn called to give us the news, my heart ached. Joni was not only the fun lady across the street but she knew how I felt when I had a bad lupus day. I will never forget sitting in the living room and asking Joni questions about lupus. She gave me honest answers and was always willing to listen. I will never forget her kindness to me and I will walk for her at the lupus walks in Georgia and Indiana. I am so glad to know that Joni is in Heaven and feeling good again! Joni was my first 'best bud' in elementary school. She was a joy to know and her smile, laugh, and positive attitude was infectious. I pray for peace and healing for all. I feel lucky to have known her. God bless.

I am sorry to hear of Joni's passing. Her journey here on earth has been a difficult one at times. She is in a much better place happy, healthy and laughing with loved ones who have gone before her.
