Obituary of John Dezelan
John J. Dezelan, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away September 9, 2011. He was born November 19, 1947. John was a Cathedral High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. John worked 34 years for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2002. He belonged to the Slovenian National Home and to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. John loved animals and the zoo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis B. and Freda V. Dezelan and son, Jonathan Dezelan. Survivors include his sisters, Helen A. (Michael) Wagner, Mary D. (Jules) Wieseman; brother Louis A. (Susie) Dezelan; two nieces and three nephews. Visitation will be Friday, September 16 at Holy Trinity Church, 901 North Holmes Ave., Indpls, from 11am-Noon with a Memorial Mass at Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Stevens Mortuary and Family Center. www.stevensmortuary.net
