Obituary of Patrick Dale Habel
PATRICK DALE HABEL
Patrick Dale ‘Pat’ Habel, 67, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on August 18, 2019, in Avon.
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 319 E. South Street, in Lebanon, IN, on Monday, August 26, at 11 a.m. with Father Richard Weisenburger officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. preceding the funeral mass with burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lebanon. Stevens Mortuary will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Patrick was born in South Bend, Indiana on January 10, 1952. He graduated from Cardinal Ritter High School in Indianapolis in the Class of 1970. He attended Vincennes University where he was a member of Delta Gamma Iota fraternity. He worked for AT&T for 30 years. Pat was an avid hockey fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and played hockey for years as an amateur. He was also a big golfer and participated in the Bell Golf League. Pat loved all kinds of sports and those he did not play, he watched on cable channels. He was a charter member and winner of his Fantasy Football League.
Patrick is survived by his wife Luanne Johnson Habel of Avon, IN; his mother Lorraine Habel of Lebanon, IN; his sister Susan Habel of Lebanon, IN; his sister-in-law Barbara Habel of Nineveh, IN; his sister-in-law Phyllis Jo Townley (David) of Germantown, TN; his niece Dr. Elizabeth Lewis (Edwin) of Woodstock, GA; and his nephews John E. Townley of Germantown, TN and Jarrett Habel of Indianapolis. Patrick was preceded in death by his father Dale Habel and his brother Kevin Habel.
