Obituary of Marilyn Jean Califar

Marilyn J. Califar, age 79, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Avon, IN. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 19, 1939 to Nick Califar Jr. and Marie P. (Barker) Califar. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1957.

She worked for Indiana Bell then later for American States Insurance where she retired after 38 years of service as an administrator and a claims adjustor. Marilyn enjoyed reading and loved taking vacations where the destination was near the ocean.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Nikki J. Dreflak-Miller; grandson, Alec G. Miller; sister, Janet M. Noblitt; and nephew, Justin C. Noblitt. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Zachary L. Miller.

She was a dedicated Mother, Sister, Grandma, and Aunt. Marilyn was also very dedicated to her friends. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
