Obituary of Arthur S Jugg
Arthur Jugg age 96 passed away December 31, 2018. Arthur was born April 10, 1922 to Steve and Louisa (Gorisek) Jug in Indianapolis, IN.
Arthur grew up in the Slovenian community in Haughville on the west side of Indianapolis. The youngest child of 5. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and Arsenal Tech High School. During WWII he was a Tech Sergeant Radio Technician, maintain the radios on B-24 bombers. While stationed in Epsich, England, he was part of the 466th Bomb Group, Squadron 784. He belonged to the American Legion Post 500 and a Life Member at the VFW Post 908 and a Member of the Slovenian National Home.
He met and married his bride Aileen Scoggan who preceded him in death in 2011. They were blessed with 4 children, Steve, Sheila, Dave and Doug. While the children were growing up, he did gardening, fishing, boating, traveling, roller skating and at night you could find him working on someone’s TV or radio.
He retired from Allison’s as a supervisor in the T-56 jet engine shops. After retirement, he liked playing golf, making beautiful stained-glass projects and continued his love of boating and traveling.
He has 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren with a few great-great grandchildren.
