Obituary of Henry Brodnik
Henry "Hank" Brodnik 85, of Indianapolis, passed away August 28, 2011. He was born September 29, 1925. Hank was in the United States Army during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked for Herff Jones for 53 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the KSKJ. Hank enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Haughville Slickers. He was a former CYO basketball coach and loved his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Survivors include his children, Steve (Elizabeth) Brodnik, Tina (Mike) Melber, John (Sheri) Brodnik, Dave (Davida) Brodnik, Jim (Chris) Brodnik, Tim (Kaitie) Brodnik and Kevin (Jeannette) Brodnik; sisters, Mary (Pete) Barbarich and Sophie Barbarich and 16 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary in Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Contributions may be made to the church. www.stevensmortuary.net
