Oh my, how wonderful to know part of the story behind the 30th and Keystone market. I lived at 30th and Tacoma and we walked many a day to the market when the front end was a tent. My mother would only buy bologna with the red wrapper from the 30th street market as we called it because it tasted fresh. I have many fond memories walking to the market with family and friends. It and the Roslyn bakery will forever be part of my childhood. Thanks so much for sharing the story of Mr. Laffin. What a rich history. May you find comfort in all your wonderful memories and knowing what an important part your family played in the lives of others. During times like these I like to reflect on the words in Revelation 21:3,4 where God promises to wipe every tear from our eyes and death will be no more. What an wonderful hope to contemplate.

Neil, Doug, Sharon, Brenda and family,

I am sending you all my love and prayers at this difficult time. I will be with you all in thought when you say your final good byes. Uncle Bob was a very funny and loving man. He will be greatly missed. Until almost the end his little joke with me was are you pregnant while poking me in the stomach. Well the last time he asked me I was almost 57 years old told him the only way that could happen it would be the next immaculate conception. Love you Uncle Bob RIP and tell my mom and everyone else hello from me.

Bob and Barbara were my god parents. My late parents, Martin and Margaret (aka Margie) Strange could not of picked 2 better people to be my god parents. I was truly blessed to have the best role models in the world. All of you lead by example of what good hardworking people do to take care of one another as well as their family and freinds. All of you never complained or asked God why me when you faced challenges and your health failed. Even though I have lost another loved one from here on earth. I know I have gained another angel to watch over me and to guide me until my time comes to be with all of you again. So until we meet again I will continue to follow your examples to be non judgmental, kind hearted and loving, as well as patient and understanding. Your loving god daughter and daughter Carol

Bobby as my father called him was a real hoot, my dad loved him and he and my mother had many great adventures with Bobby and Barbara taking vacations together ,Vegas seemed to always be the eventual destination. Bobby provided the van and my dad would drive. They were quite the pair always laughing never quite you new they were in the building. On my last visit with Bobby I asked him to give my dad a hug and tell him I loved him when he saw him in heaven and in Bobby fashion he gave me the thumbs up ..We will miss his humor and laugh rest well Bobby

My father Harry Campbell was related to Roberts Grandmother Lizzy Laffin. Robert always was nice to people. I worked at the 30th. and keystone market for a while. Enjoy Heaven Robert

We were introduced to Bobby by his sister, Roberta. Though we only knew him a short time, we got to know him well for his wit and humor. Our thoughts of him will always be remembered by his love for oatmeal raisin cookies and his desire to bring laughter to others! Our sincere condolences to the entire family on your loss. May he rest in peace.
