Obituary of Cecil T Elkins
Cecil T Elkins, 79, of Indianapolis passed away on July 7, 2018. He was born in Vincennes, IN on February 13, 1939 to Glenn and Bertha Elkins, both preceding him in death. Cecil served proudly in the United States Navy and was later medically discharged. Cecil spent his career with the Ford Motor Company and retired after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed bowling and playing billiards, he was an avid competitor having played for both leagues for over 15 years. He loved to watch old western movies and enjoyed listening to Classic Country Music from the 50’s, 70’s and 80’s. His favorite singers included Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. Cecil enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. His favorite past times were playing cards with his brothers and sisters and going to amusement parks with his sons and grandchildren. Cecil was loved deeply by his family.
He is survived by his loving and devoted family; sons, David Elkins Sr., Mark Elkins and Patrick Elkins; granddaughter, Silvia Aston; grandsons Dominick Elkins, Christopher Elkins and David Elkins Jr.; great grandchildren., Brayden Brown, Kyra Brown, Kendra Brown, Kylie Elkins, Keira Elkins and Keira Elkins; brother, George Elkins; sisters Evelynn Cash, Sherlynn (Henry) Szyviak and Ruth Croney; Neices, Tina Brown, Dama Jestes, Shannon Elkins, Sabrina Anderson and Sherry Elkins; nephews George Elkins II, Wayne Howell and Gary Anderson; great nieces, Kourtney Elkins and Di Di Elkins Brown; great-great nephews, Jesse Chasteen and Jason Haymaker; and great-great niece, Lily Brown.
