Obituary of Phillip E. Cowden
Phillip E. Cowden, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on April 30, 2018. He was born on February 11, 1932 in Ellettsville, IN to Raymond O. and Argyle Fulford-Myers Cowden. Phillip served bravely and proudly in the United States Army and a member of the Mooresville VFW. He drove Semis for over 60 years and retired in 2015. He was an avid collector of die cast model cars and semi-trucks. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glenn W. Cowden, Lester W. Cowden, Odeall Cowden, William E. Cowden, James Cowden and Gary Cowden. He is survived by his children, Kimberly S. (Jerry) Shaw and Timothy E. Cowden; girlfriend, Ersie Hurt; sister, Judy (Richard) Barnett; grandchildren, Kelly Jo (Brad) Nuetzman, Tia N. Shaw and Jerry Shaw Jr ; great-grandchildren, Tyson B. Nuetzman and Liberty I. Neutzman; nieces, Mitzi (John) Wallace, Tamie (Gene) Alvey, Jan Cowden, Sandy (Dick) Davis; nephews, Mike (Shari) Percifield and JD (Tina) Cowden; step-children, Glen (Robin) Burdine, Carolyn Runnels, Angela (Ron) Butler and Christine Cowden.
