Obituary of Caroline Rose Hover
Caroline Hover, the former Caroline Rose Waclaw, formerly of Hegeler, IL died in Lyons, IN on November 4, 2017. She was born in Westville, IL on December 24, 1928, the only daughter of Boleslaw and Johanna Kerkes Waclaw. She attended McMillan grade school and Westville High School in 1947. She entered St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1947 and graduated in 1950. She celebrated 60 years of nursing in 2010. Her last employment was at Roudebush Veterans Medical Center in Indianapolis.
She belonged to the St. Elizabeth Alumni Association, the American Legion Auxiliary #5 of Westville, IL, and the Ladies of the Moose Post 578 of which she was a member over 35 years.
Survivors are a daughter Christine Tincher, a brother Carl Waclaw of Danville, IL, nieces Carla Wheeler, Lori Pichon and Cindy Sams, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Raymond, nephews Tim and Michael Waclaw, and a son-in-law Kevin Tincer.
She enjoyed going to the Brickyard 400 and watching Nascar on TV, and her cat Mr. Hyde.
