I'm so sorry for your loss. I went to Norwich Tech trade school with Mike .We were in auto shop together, I lived in Mystic,Ct ,he lived in Ledyard on Lantern hill pond. I'd pick him up on the way to school and would drop him off at home after school. I remember the graduation party he had at his parents house. WHAT A PARTY. He also worked with me for a short time at a local Jeep dealer, untill one day when a guy came in and he had a CAN-AM racecar on the back of a car hauler(.Mike was into road coarse go-kart racing back then). That night he went to visit that guy's race shop in RI.and the next day,he quit his job and packed up his thing to move to Chicargo to go racing. Back in 2007 I tried to locate him for our 30 year class reunion, but had no luck. Mike and I had many great times back then.He always was good friend. He will be missed by many.
Dear Shannon,
Please know how sorry I am about your Dad's passing. I will support you and Kevin in prayer and in any way you need or find helpful. My heart aches for you and your family. With love, Francesca
Renee, Shanny and Brendy,I am so sorry you must bear the loss of your husband and father. Your memories will carry you safely through this very sad time. It's been a long time but many happy memories way back when we were all young, newly married and taking the racing world by storm. Mike was always one of the good guys and he has left behind many friends. Take care of each other.
So sorry for your loss. Praying for the Rooney family.
