Thoughts and remembrances of Dad
Dad was a Walker ! I can remember being 5 or 6 years old & going for a walk around the block...with me hop skipp'n and jump'n & to keep up.
He was a loving father, always giving you hugs & kisses & wishing you "Health,Happiness & Good Fortune"!
He'd say "If u have that, you have everything"!
I can remember going to the Black Hills for vacation in 68'. I was 8 yrs. old & being mean to my little brother. So,Dad took me aside & explained Family Values to me.....
" You're the oldest son, & it's up to you to look out for your little brothers and sister". Then he gave me a hug.
These are a few of the memories that I will never forget about Dad.
I can just imagine God telling Dad... "I'm sending you Wings to get to Heaven"! Then Dad says..." Keep'm"! "I'll walk".
Your loving son,
Fred
Vicki, I just heard of your father's passing from Gary, who heard it from Susie Donohue (Maley). The Marian grapevine never ceases to amaze me! You and your family are in my prayers and will be the intention of my next adoration. May God bless you all during this difficult time.
My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see him again because we know that God can not lie. Usually at some point in time after the funeral when family members and friends are gone, we may find ourselves all alone to deal with our grief. But please be assured that you are not alone. The best friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6, 7) May all the many wonderful memories that John your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.
