Obituary of Robert Yaggi
Robert J. Yaggi 86, Indianapolis, died Sunday, March 21, 2010. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to Joseph and Margaret (Murray) Yaggi on October 19, 1923. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1979 after 36 years. He was a WWII Navy veteran having served aboard the U.S.S. Currituck. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Phyllis (Yaggi) Green and Thomas J. Yaggi. Bob is survived by his brother, Dennis and sisters, Marge Hammond and Judy Yaggi; and 10 nephews and three nieces and several great-nieces and nephews and a great-great- niece. Visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls., Wednesday, March 24 from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thurs. March 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael Church or to the Solid Organ Transplant Inpatient Unit at Methodist. www.stevensmortuary.net
