Obituary of Richard Hartman
Richard Hartman Attorney At Law 79, passed away on March 22, 2010. Richard was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to J. Herbert and Aretta Hartman. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School class of 1948 and Indiana University School of Law class of 1955. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dick was a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and enjoyed the practice of law for over 50 years and was honored with a 50 year plaque by I.S.B.A. He was a former Deputy Marion County Prosecutor and County Attorney. He was a life member of American Legion Post 64 and VFW. He was also a member of AmVets and the Knights of Columbus #437. He will forever be remembered for his strength of spirit, strong family values and his love of life. The world has lost a truly remarkable man. Dick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly (Petty) Hartman; and their four children, John (Paula) Hartman, Patrick Hartman, Stacy Dye, and Jeanne Hagan, all of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Dorothy Heinz of Hamilton, OH, Mary Evelyn Merriman of Green Bay, WI and Jeanne (Larry) Webber of Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, Friday, March 26, from 4- 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Sat. March 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic grade school. www.stevensmortuary.net
