Obituary of Robert O. Boswell
Robert O. Boswell, 90, of Spencer, IN passed away on August 13, 2017. Robert was born on September 10, 1926 in Carpentersville, IN to Artie O. and Minnie E. Boswell. Robert enjoyed fishing, watching Cubs baseball, watching the Big Bang theory. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially around the 4th of July. He very much enjoyed teasing all of his grandchildren. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and devoted, loving husband. Dad was a hard worker. He really enjoyed seeing his friends at the American Legion. Robert was employed 52 years at General Motors, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in both World War II and Korean War. He was a member of the UAW, and American Legion; he contributed to the Disabled Veterans, SCPA and Wounded Warriors. Robert will be sorely missed by many.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 50 years, Betty (Woolridge) Boswell in 1999; sisters, Margarite (George) Sargent, Pauline (Donald) Morrison, Mary Roe, Helen Pickle and Annabelle (Bob) Jones; brother, Henry Boswell; two grandchildren; one great grandchild and one great great grandchild. He is survived by his sons, Richard L. Boswell, Fred A. Boswell, Edward D. (Patty) Boswell, Robert M. (Nancy) Boswell; daughter, Peggy R. Taylor; 26 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions can be made to The Disabled Veterans Fund or SPCA.
