Obituary of Brenda Kay Baxter
Brenda Kay Baxter, 73, of Lizton, IN passed away on April 28, 2017. Brenda was born in Elizabethton, TN on November 9, 1944 to Rollin Thomas and Hildred M. Gardner. Brenda is preceded in death by her father. Brenda retired from Care Group. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, friends and cooking. She adored all of her pets. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Lee Baxter; her dog, Tilli Lee; mother, Hildred Gardner; daughter, Paula K. (Bob) Able; son, David W. (Dawn) Jobe; seven grandchildren, Angie (Brian) Dinwiddie, Jason (Michael) Able, Phillip Jobe, Jacob Jobe, Jessica Bowling, Alicia Acuna, Marcus Acuna; great-grandchildren, Breleigh Dinwiddie, Alex Dinwiddie, Houston Jobe, Seattle Jobe, Braylon Jobe; 10 half siblings, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services will also be held in the mortuary at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 1, 2017. Interment to follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that contributions be made to one of the following charities; American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202 or Humane Society of Indianapolis 7929 N Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
