Obituary of Robert Paul Geis
The Life of Robert Paul Geis
Robert Paul Geis was born on May 14, 1929 in Liberty, IN on the farm of his beloved parents Albert and Elizabeth Geis. When he was in high school he was the President of Future Farmers of America. He was also on the basketball team. After graduation he acquired his license. He joined the United States Army at the time of the Korean War, served in Okinawa, Japan and was honorably discharged from the Army as a Corporal. He met his beautiful bride, Peggy Jo Daly, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church and they married on September 7, 1957. They have been married for 59 years. Bob was a hog farmer in Liberty, IN. He then went to work for Ralston Purina as a swine specialist. In 1978, he started Bob Geis Realty specializing in Farms and finished his career in Indianapolis, IN. Robert Geis is survived by his wife Peggy Jo Daly Geis. They had nine children; Letitia Geis Eisenmann, Ardelle Geis (Deceased), Robert Michael Geis (Lynn), Laura Geis (Deceased), Maureen Geis, John Geis, Christopher Geis (Michelle), and Patrick Geis. He has 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Bob was a quiet and gentle man whose simple yet fervent devotion to his Catholic Faith was a testimony to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest accomplishment was his deep devotion to his Catholic Faith in God, his great love for his “Little Chickadee” (Peggy), and family. His favorite saying for family and friends was that beautiful blessing of Jesus, Peace be with you”.
