Condolences
A wonderful performer who graced my stages in years past, he was a pleasure to work with in personality as well as performance quality. My sincere condolences to his family, friends, and bandmates.
I had not seen Cliff in years, as I've been away from Indianapolis. We were fellow musicians, and our love for music spanned time, decades, and the miles. Not only was he talented, but Cliff had such a sweet, gentle spirit. We'll miss you, Cliff. May your spirit now enjoy God's HEAVENLY music.
I don't know where to start. He brought such joy to the world with his smile, laugh, and voice. I will forever miss his sense of humor and I know he was so proud of Amy. My prayers are with all of his family. I know he is up in heaven with his family and playing his drums with both arms again!
My wife Vicki and I were only fans of Cliff and Dog Talk, but we had the good fortune to talk with Cliff many times. But you didn't need to talk with Cliff to feel like you knew him because of the connection he made with the audience when he performed. When he sang "What A Wonderful World", you really believed it was wonderful, no matter what was going on in your own life. Today, though, it feels a little less wonderful knowing we won't see and hear him sing that song again.
Annie, I was saddened to learn today of your husband's passing. Both you and Amy will be in our family's thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Sincerely, Frank and Beth Owens
Rest now my friend. God is by your side. He will provide faith and joy for those who mourn, and there will be no more tears. You have given us great joy and happiness in our lives and now, we must be strong as you would have wanted us to be. So, rest now my friend. Your friend, Scott Morris Soltermann
As a previous employee of Mickey's Pub in Carmel, I got to work most of Dog Talks gigs. Cliff was a kind hearted, friend to all he met. He could light up the room with his smile, and his booming personality. It was my pleasure to know him, as an entertainer and a friend. God bless the ones he left behind, as he continues his journey as an angel in heaven. Cliff you were an outstanding man, thank you for being a friend.
My condolences to Annie, Amy and all Cliff's family. He was stricken with bad health far too early in his life, but he never failed to give me a smile and pleasant greeting whenever I saw him in our neighborhood. If there is any way I or other neighbors can be of help, please call me - 649-4471
Just saw Cliff last week, always a pleasure to see him. Annie you and Amy are in my thoughts and prayers. Rose Harris
Cliff had an amazing spirit. I am so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Cliff. he was a great and loving person to all. Cliff played music many times at our agency called Shares, Inc. and provided joy to all. He showed a deep compasion for his fellow man and he will surely be missed by all. I have many memories of Cliff that I will always cherish and will never forget his beautiful voice and all the fun I had listening to him play with "Dog Talk". Clifford Strachman
